1. Select an envelope and cut a strip 5-7 mm less than the width of your envelope. This will be the base of your postcard. Measure the height of the envelope and set aside 5-7 mm less. Greeting card with a declaration of love is ready.

Braided hearts and leaves

1.To make each wicker leaf, pick up paper in two contrasting colors (preferably double-sided).

2. Build a pattern first. Draw a square with a side of 4-12 cm. (The optimal size, convenient for weaving, is 8 cm). Place the leg of the compass in the middle of the upper side of the square and draw a half circle with the same diameter. Divide the top and bottom sides of the square into 8 pieces. Now, if we draw lines at equal distances, and then we perform weaving, we will get a plain or checkerboard weave that is well known to us. But let's try to make an unusual weaving. Draw lines, making the middle stripes twice as wide as the rest.

3. Place two colors of paper on top of each other. The pattern can be drawn directly on one of the sheets. You can also draw on a separate sheet of paper or print the template. You need to cut two or three (with a template) leaves at the same time. You can use paper clips to keep them from moving.

4. Place one piece on top of another. Take out one work strip (yellow) and place it on top. Pass it between the red stripes, intertwining in a checkerboard pattern.

5. When you have bound all the strips, carefully pull them up, being careful not to gaps. Now glue all the ends of the strips on both sides with a glue stick.

6. Straighten the edges. It turned out to be an even heart. To turn it into a leaf, cut the cloves along the edges (one at a time or with curly scissors) and glue the leg.

7. You can make the pattern differently, leaving the two outer strips wide.

8. This is how the leaves with plain weave and with stripes of different widths look.

9. Try changing the shape of the stripes. Divide half of the upper side into 4 parts and the lower side into 5 parts. Connect the dots with convex lines.

10. It turns out here is such a sheet.

11. Draw two pairs of lines concave towards the middle.

12. The leaves will be like this.

13. Divide the top and bottom sides of the square into 9 parts, and the two sides in half. Draw three raised lines each.

14.After weaving, you get a pattern with a volume effect.

15. Divide the horizontal sides into 8 parts, and the vertical ones into 4 parts. Draw equal arcs between the intersection points of the lines.

16. The pattern is unusual.

17. Divide all sides of the square into 4 pieces. Draw 4 semicircles with a compass in the marked places. What do you think the pattern will be after weaving?

18. Get a flower with four petals inside the leaf.

19. Divide all sides of the square in half. Draw the middle lines. Divide all sides into 5 parts and draw auxiliary lines. Draw straight lines and draw semicircles along the markings.

20. The pattern on this leaf is a flower within a flower.

21. Divide the top and bottom sides into 8 parts, and the sides into 2 parts. Draw two diagonals. The intersections of the diagonals and vertical lines indicate the points from which the corners in the center of the pattern are drawn. If you make a heart-shaped pattern (completed with another semicircle, as shown in blue) and do not cut the right side of the square, then after weaving it will turn out ...

22. You will get such a figure resembling a flower, with a braided core.

23. And finally, one more example. The top and bottom sides were divided into 8 parts, and the sides into 4 parts. Draw semicircles with a compass to form wavy lines.

24. Isn't it an unexpected result?
Experiments with curly weaving are extremely exciting, they can be continued further ... Try to invent your own figures!

Hello friends!

New Year and Christmas holidays are over. And before we had time to rest, a new holiday is just around the corner - Valentine's Day. It is celebrated on February 14 all over the world.

And although this day is not a day off at work, it can be celebrated at home after work.

There are several legends and myths about the origin of this holiday. The most common of them is about the holy Martyr Valentine, who lived in Rome in the third century. Then the Roman emperor Claudius II forbade men to marry so that they would not be burdened by their family and fight better. But the priest Valentine took pity on the unfortunate lovers and secretly married everyone who came to him for help.

The emperor found out about this and put Valentine in prison. He was sentenced to death on 14 February. In prison, he met the jailer's daughter Julia. Priest Valentin fell in love with the girl and before his death wrote her a declaration of love on paper - a valentine. The girl read it after the death of the priest.

Valentine - in most cases these are cards in red and pink colors and in the form of hearts, which symbolize passionate feelings, a declaration of love or a romantic greeting.

Whether the beautiful legend is true or not, now it is impossible to find out. But it is known that the first valentines appeared in England in the 18th century and the holiday was fixed as Valentine's Day.

In Russia, this secular holiday arose in the 90s of the last century. On this day, couples in love arrange romantic evenings, give each other gifts that express love and tender feelings.

Do you want to learn how to make beautiful DIY valentines out of paper? For you, I have prepared a collection of various works of these small "compliments". I will show you some unusual and interesting options. I hope you enjoy this collection and want to replicate some of the models.

Craft paper valentine

This is a three-layer job. Due to the fact that each layer has a different shape and texture, the craft seems interesting. In addition, you can choose any "theme" (picture on the top layer), color. Thus, this card can be presented to both a girl and a boy.

  • Bottom layer, base. It can be a circle or an oval. Its dimensions are larger than that of the other two layers. The edges of the base are corrugated.
  • Middle layer. It requires several, from 2 to 3 rectangles (half the length of these rectangles should be less than the base). The more rectangles there are, the thicker the layer will be. We fold each of them with an accordion (strip width about 0.5-0.7 cm).
  • The third, top layer is a picture cut in the shape of a heart. There is an inscription on it.

Look, in the picture the "compliment" is made in the form of a pendant or pendant. But you can make it in the form of a simple postcard, glue it to a hairpin, make a brooch, or any other option.

Envelope - heart with a photo and a wish

A simple version of a valentine, but no less interesting, because you can put a commemorative photo inside the envelope and make a nice inscription on the envelope itself. And when a person opens the envelope, he will see a big heart.

The hardest part is to do the markup, but I'll help you. I have a template, by attaching a sheet to the screen, you can circle all the lines and the heart itself.

I really enjoyed this job. I would like to take a closer look at every detail.

In fact, the heart shape, which contains many flowers of different sizes, is filled with valentines! Each petal is a heart in love.

We cut out hearts of different sizes from paper of different colors (you can even not plain one). Template:

We fold each such blank in half.

On the sheet with a pencil, a large heart, inside which we draw circles where the flowers will be placed.

First, just place the "petals" inside this pattern so as to make flowers out of them. It is easiest to start at the edge of the large heart and then fill in the middle.

And then, when we are satisfied with the pattern, we glue all the blanks with one side to the sheet. Perhaps we will have some "petals" separately. The main thing is to emphasize the contours of the heart.

Place decorative beads inside the flowers (optional). And some hearts can be multi-layered.

Easy job. But what a graceful one!

And how you can beautifully beat due to the combination of different colors and shades.

From tubules

An incredibly beautiful and unusual heart - a wreath of tubes.

Cut out the outline of a heart 1 cm wide from cardboard.

We twist (you can use matches or toothpicks for this) paper into tubes. If we have thin strips, twist them in a spiral to get a long tube. The tubes can be made from magazines or craft paper, we fix them constantly with glue, because we will cut them.

We cut the tubes into small pieces of 3-4 cm in length (it is not necessary to make everything the same). We cut it diagonally, so the final work will look prettier.

Lubricate the cardboard with glue and fix the tubes perpendicular to the base. It is convenient to glue with hot glue.

It remains to make a loop from the ribbon, and you can decorate the house.

Origami paper valentines

An incredibly beautiful bouquet of hearts can be presented to your loved ones. And in each heart you can write a wish. If you make 7 hearts, then every morning your dear person will begin by expanding his heart and reading a wish. And you can even put candy inside!

Accordion heart

Let's first consider how to make a heart an accordion. This is the simplest origami and nevertheless very beautiful!

We put a plate on a sheet of colored paper and circle it. We get a rectangle with rounded ends. Fold it in an accordion 1 cm wide. Fold it in half and glue it. We get a heart!

Heart - origami on a stick

At the word origami, some are already looking forward to a little puzzle. But this model, although it contains some tricks, is actually simple. The little one can repeat it.

  1. Bend the top of the equilateral triangle to the base line.
  2. We bend the other two corners so that their sides are connected in the middle.
  3. We get a shape with 2 corners on top. We bend these corners diagonally.
  4. We round off the top of the heart, bending over small corners.

If you want, you can glue origami to a stick, or you can attach a chupa chups. But you can leave a message inside the triangle.

Another version of a valentine with a message:

Bookmark - origami heart

To be honest, I like this Vit Valentine's cards the most. Do you know why? Because he's useful. It can be applied practically, and not just tossed on the shelf, as is usually the case with postcards.

I have already shown the simplest option on

She was so warm:

Today I will offer you another way to fold.

This is the heart we will end up with:

We need a 15x15 cm square. We bend it in half along two diagonals, as in the picture.

Bend the corner to the middle.

We also fold the second one. And we smooth it with a finger to the points indicated in the photo.

We open and do the same from the opposite side.

Expanding. We've got the following fold lines:

Bend the lower and upper corners to the point of intersection.

We fold our rhombus in half, leaving the corners bent inward.

Open the blank again.

Turn over.

And we bend the workpiece in half - an acute angle to an acute one. Smooth it well with your fingers.

We bend one lower "tail" of our heart up, smooth the bend well with our finger, then wrap it inside the heart. It remains to round the heart at the top, bending sharp corners back.

We continue to round the corners. Now let's move on to the final stage. The folded corners must be tucked inward. To do this, open the heart a little and tuck the corner inside with your finger.

We bend all the other corners inward and smooth them.

It remains to form an acute angle at the bottom of the heart. To do this, first bend the corners up to the middle to outline the fold line. Then we wrap them inside. The bookmark is ready. You can glue a little at the top.

We give to ourselves, friends or loved ones.

Another option, see the video:

Heart of roses

What girl doesn't love roses? And if they are made by hand and even collected in the shape of a heart. Little girls and mothers will appreciate this valentine.

It's easy to do, but long, because you need about 20 roses. From one A4 sheet, 2 roses are obtained. By the way, such roses can even be made from foamiran or felt. But now we have a "paper" topic.

So on A4 sheet we draw 2 circles at once. Cut from, and cut in a circle, we get a spiral.

We twist the spiral from the outer edge, do not tighten it tightly. We glue the tail with PVA, we get a rose.

We make a heart-shaped cardboard base. Inside you can make a collage of photos or wishes. Or you can just cut out the middle as for a wreath. And glue the roses around the edge. Do not forget to glue the ribbon loop.

Volumetric paper valentine

Again, roses decorate this model in a very actual way. You can cover the entire surface of the postcard with roses, or make any other pattern. Idea, photo and mk from "Usamodelkin"

The first thing to do is cut out the spirals with wavy lines. Cut out the spirals along the lines. On the edge of a large needle (also called gypsy), we will wind an adhesive tape. A useful life hack, by the way!

On the needle, from the side of the tape, we wind the spirals, from edge to middle. It turns out roses.

We remove together with scotch tape. We fix the bottom of the rose. We protrude the outer layers to add splendor.

If you make the same pattern as this one, you will need 20-25 roses (depending on the size of the card).

Cut out 2 heart blanks. One is white. The second is pink. On pink we make a pattern of stripes. Cut out all the internal details between the strips.

We fix roses on top of the pink blank. We glue the white blank from below, as a background.

You can also walk on the outside with nail polish. This will make our "compliment" even brighter.

DIY valentines for children from paper

If for children, then let's use fabulous ideas, favorite games or pussies. I will show you what kind of gift you can prepare for toddlers.

We will select all the necessary details:

  • 3 hearts - 1 large white, 2 small pink.
  • 3 pom-poms: one black, two white.
  • The paper pink tongue is a rectangle with two cut corners.
  • Eyes.

Let's put together the picture:

We glue the ears to the white base, place the spout in the middle, put the eyes on the glue above the spout.

The puppy's cheeks will be under the nose. There is a tongue between the cheeks!

As for me, this is a real toy that is pleasant to give and receive to children.

Valentine card - chrysanthemum

This beautiful, voluminous valentine can be of different sizes, you can make a huge panel on the wall, or you can make a small card that fits in your hand.

And making it is very simple. It is necessary to make bags from squares of paper and glue it to the base - a heart made of cardboard. You can even make it double-sided. We glue from the edge in a circle, shifting to the center.

Paper valentine templates

There are 2 types of templates for these cards:

  1. Those that need to be folded, twisted after downloading, printing and cutting ... that is, cook in some way.
  2. And those that are just worth decorating (of course, after downloading / cutting).

Feel free to use both options! Everyone is capable of giving you the opportunity to present different gifts to all your dear people, and you can show your talent and creativity.

I'll start with the coloring.

Now valentines are more complicated. Cut out the first template, fold it and glue it inside the postcard. You can paint, or you can use colored paper. Pictures are enlarged by clicking.

Here we cut out the heart, fold it in half, make cuts not completely and attach the string.

We fold the box, making the necessary cuts as in the photo and fasten the small parts with glue or double-sided tape.

It turns out that if you take a beautiful openwork heart - a vytynanka and stick it on a red base, you get incredibly original valentines! Do not forget to leave a wish on the reverse side.

It's easy to do - just print, cut out the gray or black parts, depending on the template, and stick it on your postcard.

It is convenient to cut it with a clerical knife, put the vytynanka on the board. But you can also use nail scissors. Templates:

Quilling valentines

This type of decoration and drawing is probably the most romantic. It actually takes a little more time and attention. However, the result is worth it. I will show one of the options:

  • We cut into thin strips.
  • We wind them on a toothpick (but it's more convenient for me to do it on a match).
  • Draw the contours of the heart on the sheet.
  • We press some blanks a little on the sides.
  • We spread them along the contour.
  • We fill in the middle of the picture by placing the blanks on glue.

The color, shape of the stripes, as well as the picture itself, can be varied. It will turn out to implement different ideas with such a technique of execution.

Another option in the quilling technique:

Heart with many miniature chrysanthemums. Painstaking work, but very beautiful!

Tishu valentine

Incredibly beautiful flowers are obtained from silence. If not, you can use crepe paper or regular napkins.

I really hope that the collection will be replenished with your ideas. Share the article itself: post on your social networks and invite your friends to our site.
