First level

The best option for self-making a gift for beginners. It's budgetary. You can take any confectionery, including caramels. Or you can combine caramel and chocolate flowers.

It is enough for the master to have perseverance, to have a little free time and some easily accessible items:

  • not thick colored cardboard (useful when using plastic containers);
  • styrofoam;
  • toothpicks;
  • scissors;
  • sweets (any, including caramel);
  • corrugated paper (any)

Step by step master class

First, fill the pot with styrofoam and secure it with glue. If using the bottom of a plastic bottle, wrap the outside with cardboard.

Next, cut 10 by 10 cm rectangles from corrugated paper.

Now you have to collect the buds. It all depends on the choice of components. If the candies are wrapped with ponytails, glue them to the toothpicks. If not, stick the tips into them.

Pass the prepared quadrangles through the opposite ends of the sticks. Wrap, forming the likeness of inflorescences.

Collect a sweet bouquet. To do this, stick flowers in a pot (bottle) with filler over the entire area. A simple, but original and certainly delicious present is ready.

Note!

Note!

Unusual gifts are held in high esteem today. Because this is how you show the person that you thought of him and chose a surprise. And even if you vaguely imagine the interests of the person being gifted, a simple bouquet of candies will already be a great idea. You can order it or make it yourself. The second option will be discussed right now!

Sunflowers

Sweet candy bouquets look spectacular. You can turn ordinary chocolates into sunflowers and make an unusual surprise for a dear person.

What you need:

  • candy;
  • paper;
  • organza;
  • styrofoam;
  • toothpicks;
  • double sided tape.

It is better to take sweets round, in dark wrappers. Because these are the future "seeds" for the sunflower. As a last resort, you can remove the packaging and wrap the candy in another paper.

Cut a circle out of foam for the future sunflower and glue it with green paper. Next, from the orange corrugated sheet, cut out a strip for three turns around the circle. We choose the width based on the length of the petals. We attach the strip to the base.

Make small cuts across the paper on each layer. Cut out the petals. We fix the tails of the candy wrappers. Glue the candies to the base of the sunflower. Cut out small organza squares and fold them in half. We glue it to the toothpicks. We insert them between the middle and the petals.

Cut a strip of such length from green paper so that it can be wrapped around the base once. We make 1.5 centimeters across it.

Cut out the petals and give them a more convex shape. We attach to the base. We twist each petal and bend it to the side so that everything looks natural.

You can make one such sunflower or several flowers. It will make a beautiful gift for any occasion.

Bouquet from "Rafaello"

Corrugated bouquets with Rafaello sweets are a great idea for a romantic gift. The idea is so simple that any man can bring it to life. Also, the bouquet can be presented to a friend or mother.

What you need:

  • candy;
  • red and green paper;
  • scissors;
  • wide scotch tape;
  • wooden skewers;
  • glue;
  • organza.

The process takes approximately 40-60 minutes. Everything is very simple:

We cut the corrugated paper into strips 3 cm wide and 20 cm long. We take the Rafaello out of the box, but do not remove the wrappers. Until the middle, wrap each candy with scotch tape. We put a skewer on each candy below and fix it with tape. These are blanks for our "flowers".

Each piece of paper must be twisted in the middle, folded in half and straightened to form a petal.

You will need three petals for each candy. We put the candy itself into the first petal, and overlap the other two so that the sweetness is hidden inside, and a flower forms outwardly. We fix everything with tape or decorative thread.

Cut the green paper into strips of 10 x 20 cm. Fold each strip with an accordion. Cut off the rest of the paper and form a leaf. Further, the workpiece must be divided into separate sheets. We glue them between the rose petals. We wrap the stem with a decorative ribbon of green color, as close as possible in shade to the petals.

We carry out the same procedure with other candies. Then you can simply put them together and decorate with wrapping paper. Or you can make a spiral bouquet. To do this, put one rose in the center. Then we put the flowers in front of him with a tilt to the left, and we arrange the back flowers with a tilt to the right. We fix the bouquet with a satin ribbon.

We fold the floral organza in half with the corners upwards in the form of a triangle and pack our bouquet. We wrap it in organza, simultaneously fixing it with glue. From above, you can pack the composition using felt. We also fix it with glue. Add a satin bow or other decoration. Done!

Candy tulips

A photo of a handmade bouquet of sweets can often be seen on the Internet when it comes to making tulips from sweets. This is one of the easiest ways to create a beautiful composition.

What you need:

  • candy;
  • paper (yellow, lilac, white and green);
  • styrofoam;
  • sticks;
  • glue;
  • basket.

Such bouquets of paper and sweets are very simple to make. We cut 4x14 centimeters of fabric. For 13 flowers, you will need 36 blanks. We make candy wrappers from green paper (7x7 cm). Cut out future leaves (5x3) cm.

Grab the flap in the center and rotate it 360 degrees. We bend it in half so that one part is above the other. We straighten and do the same with other blanks.

Put candy into the petal and fix it with two more. We wrap the stem with paper and glue the leaves.

We put the foam in the basket and fix it securely. We insert flowers into the foam.

We bend the wrappers in half and turn in different directions. We fix them with glue and insert them into the free space between the flowers. All is ready!

You have already learned how to make bouquets of sweets, but other information will be very useful here. It is advisable to watch at least one video for beginners, as well as to pre-select the "standard" in the photo.

As in every case, there are secrets and nuances. Many craftswomen learn about their existence from their own experience, and we will tell you about them right now.

The main tricks for creating a bouquet of sweets:

  • Using corrugated paper, you can manually give the product the desired outline. To do this, simply straighten the fold or bulge with your fingers. The edge of the paper can be wrapped around a pencil to smooth the contour, as well as "curl" with a knitting needle the individual elements of the flower.
  • It is best to use a special decorative tape to attach the flower to the stem. If not, you can use a strip of corrugated paper slightly dampened with water. Pressing it down slightly with your fingers, you can achieve a tight fastener, especially if the thread was previously used.
  • The base for a bouquet of sweets should be quite stable, but at the same time not be very heavy, because together with sweets, such a gift will be too heavy. Styrofoam glued to a piece of cardboard is ideal. To work with polyurethane foam, it is advisable to make a contour of paper or cardboard, where the foam will be placed before it hardens.
  • For curly crafts, it is best to pre-cut the shape from foam or foam, wrap the visible parts with foil or corrugated paper, and then decorate with sweets.
  • It is appropriate to decorate bouquets of sweets for Teacher's Day using real leaves, pre-treated with melted paraffin. So they will not only keep their shape well, but also last for a longer time.
  • A basket for a bouquet can also be made from sweets using flat tiles in individual packages. To add rigidity to the product, the chocolate bars can be glued onto a folded sheet of cardboard or a finished box.

When choosing the main ingredients for the work ahead, you should not dwell on one type of sweets. Chocolate bouquets of sweets are diverse, so you can vary and combine different types. Multicolored gummy pieces in transparent packaging, as well as unpacked candies, look great.

Small flat tiles are suitable for framing, as well as "building" material for sweet homes. Turning on your imagination, you can adequately beat the birthday boy's favorite sweets, as well as create a unique masterpiece using the simplest and most affordable materials.

A sweet bouquet of candies with your own hands is a great gift for a loved one for any occasion.

It is appropriate to give it to a child or mother, as well as to present a surprise to the newlyweds. Almost everyone loves sweets, and such a spectacular presentation of them will definitely surprise and intrigue. In our article, step-by-step master classes on how to make a bouquet of sweets were presented, as well as original options for congratulations.

Today at one handicraft forum I came across a request from a young lady to advise on what materials to start with in order to try herself in suite design. I immediately remembered how I myself was tormented by this issue, bought a bunch of materials, half of which are still lying, gathering dust and extremely rarely taken from the bins (and some materials have not yet been unpacked at all). I think this problem is familiar to many. Therefore, I decided to write a review on the topic of materials and tools for candy floristry and reveal the little secrets of what you need to try yourself in this type of needlework and not go broke (what if you change your mind after the first flower?). Because, believe me, if you buy everything at once, at least half of one of your rooms will be filled up.
Well, something I started talking .. Let's start.

1. The first and most important material is corrugated paper.

We make our flowers from it

and pack handmade bouquets,

and decorate compositions,

and tap (wrap, hide) the flower legs.
Italian corrugation is used for flowers and bouquet packaging. It has more density and corrugation, unlike other crepe papers, due to which it stretches well and allows you to create flowers that are close to natural appearance. For "wrapping" compositions, you can use Chinese or any other similar paper to reduce the cost of work.
Corrugation can be monophonic, metallized, with a transition.
If you want to try yourself in sweet design, but are not sure if you will do it thoroughly, buy three corrugation colors that are compatible with each other (yes, at least red, white and pink!), As well as green corrugation for leaves and stems (better take the number 560 or 591). Enough for a sample.

2. Skewers for kebabs, toothpicks, wire.

All this is used for the stems of our flowers. And if everything is clear with skewers and toothpicks, then it is worth dwelling on the wire separately.
Usually in our candy handicraft we use floral wire - drut. There are different diameters. The most convenient (in my opinion) is 1.2. And the flowers hold well, and bends easily. But sometimes for hand-made spiral bouquets and decorative elements I use size 1.6 (or 1.4), and for twigs made of beads or other decoration, you can use the thinnest wire (0.6) or "broth" wire (0.3) ...
To get started, buy skewers and toothpicks so as not to go broke, and if it goes, buy wire.

3. Packaging film.

Oh, this film ... I just have several unpacked rolls of it ... Of course, they will come in handy sometime, but I was in a hurry with their purchase.
So. The film is very different. And matte, and glossy, and metallized, and with a pattern, and holographic .. In general, there are none!
It used to be fashionable to use so-called "cones" in bouquets. A holographic or glossy monochromatic film is best suited for them. If you want to plunge into "retro suite design", then it is better to buy one roll of beautiful holographic film of the color that suits your idea. But don't buy a lot of it at once! It can hang in your closet for a long time.

There is also a transparent film. The compositions are wrapped around it to give them a finished "for sale" look.

Also, the film is used to fill the space between the flowers (so-called "funnies" are made from it and inserted into the basket between the flowers to cover the base). Your best bet to get started is to buy one roll of green matte green sheeting.

4. The next commonly used material is organza.

Better to buy floristic too. It is impregnated, slightly stiffer than usual and does not crumble when cut. But to save money, you can buy a simple one.
Organza is also different: plain, patterned, organza "snow". It is also used for curls (like the film, only the composition is softer),

and for packing a bouquet,

and for decoration compositions.

If you just want to try to do candy art, you can do without organza, film is enough. If you do decide to buy, choose a green organza first to use it as filling the space between flowers. And if you like it, buy other colors for your ideas and ideas.

5. Another floristic material is mesh.

It happens with a small and large cell. Plain and "snow". Cobweb, metallic, overflow ...! Different! Beautiful! So hands stretch!))
The larger the cells, the harder the mesh. The "snow" mesh is one of the softest. Here it is already necessary to select according to your needs.
The net is used for packing bouquets,

for decoration of compositions,

for all the same pounds.
You can postpone the purchase of the net if you are not yet sure that you will thoroughly get involved in the candy and flower business.

6. Felt.

Used for wrapping bouquets and decorative items. Also, some craftswomen make very beautiful flowers out of it. I have not yet found application for this material in my work. And I advise beginners to wait with it until you understand what to use it for.

7. Sisal.

This is a material made from natural coarse fiber obtained from the leaves of the Agava sisolana plant from the Agava genus, sometimes the plant itself is also called sisal. It can be of two types: sisal fabric and just sisal fiber.
A sisal canvas is needed if you are planning to wrap a frame in it for your bouquet, or beautifully pack a gift bottle, or want to use it as a decor. I don't really like sisal in the form of a canvas. I rarely use it, and if you try to "wag" it, a huge number of nasty small splinters remain in your fingers.
Fiber is another matter. Here it is very convenient for them to cover the "holes" in the bouquets instead of bellies. And if you drag a little more sisal "outside" the composition, you get a beautiful effect of hay peeping out of the flowers)))

But, although sisal is a convenient material for work, you can also take your time with its purchase. To begin with, use the film in the form of filling the space, and when you get used to it, buy it too.

8. Polysilk.

Foil-like thinnest film. Beautiful, thin, airy, but not cheap material. It stretches well, wrinkles, pliable. Ideal for wrapping gifts of complex shapes, for beautiful bows. In our craft, it is often used as a beautiful wrapper for candy, if it has the right shape and the color pumped up.

Or, for example, many people make strawberries from sweets, wrapping truffle sweetness with polysilicon. At the very beginning of training in suite design, this material is not needed. But later you should splurge on at least a couple of types of this amazing film.

9. Styrofoam, styrofoam, polyurethane foam, floristic foam.

Our flowers can be "stick" into all these materials. What is more convenient and profitable for whom - everyone chooses for himself. You can start with the foam, but it crumbles too much and is not very convenient to cut for this reason. Polyurethane foam is too dirty. Floral foam - more suitable for fresh flowers. Penoplex is closest to me. It does not crumble when cut, the flowers hold well in it, it is convenient to cut complex shapes from it. But it's hard to cut. A very sharp knife is needed. But when you get used to it, you can make interesting compositions with it.

10. Baskets and frames.

How to work with the frame, there are separate master classes on the Internet. I have never bought it. I do it myself. Everything is clear with baskets. Buy a basket according to your idea.

You can also create compositions on glasses or vases (corresponding master classes can also be found on the net).

11. Glue. It is best to use hot glue with a heat gun for the job.

It is convenient, fast, robust. The main thing is to handle it carefully so as not to burn yourself (the glue is sooo hot!). You can buy the cheapest pistol and change it every time it burns out (yes, they often break from overheating). If you are just trying it, then a cheap pistol from the "all for a few rubles" store, for example, is what you need. But if you have already been drawn into needlework, it is better not to be greedy and buy a good expensive pistol with heating modes. I have a pistol worth about 1,000 rubles. I'm sooooo happy with it! Whichever pistol you choose, buy with a narrow nozzle for 7mm rods. Since the work is usually quite jewelry, it can be extremely inconvenient to work with a pistol with a thick nose. I buy rods for the pistol all in the same store "all for a few rubles." Better, of course, to take expensive, they give less "snot", but here I save.
Also, sometimes Titan glue (for gluing large areas) and ordinary glue stick (for example, a polysilicon for gluing) are used.

12. Tape tape.

Floral tape coated with wax. Due to light heating by hands when working with it, it adheres well to a skewer / wire. It comes in different colors. Used for taping flowers. Attention! If your flower has a thick lower part at the point of attachment to the skewer, it is better to use corrugation for taping, because the tape is unlikely to glue this area.
You can also use fum tape. It is cheaper, adheres well, and is sold in any plumbing store. True, you need to get used to it, since the tape is very thin.

13. Tape imitating aspidistra leaf.

Good for imitating leaves.

Not the cheapest. In the first stage, you can make leaves from corrugated paper.

14. Artificial greenery.

For filling and beauty of the bouquet (grass, leaves, small flowers).

15. Various tapes.

To get started, buy for a specific bouquet. As soon as you start to closely engage in candy floristry, you will have more than one box of ribbons))) That's what never happens! And for filling, and for decoration, and for wrapping basket handles, and for dressing a bouquet! But you never know where else the fantasy will play out! In addition to the usual tapes, I have in stock red and white thin polypropylene tapes (for working moments).

16. Beads.

The same as with ribbons. There is never too much. To imitate dewdrops, it is better to buy half beads, with them it is more convenient and prettier.

17. Butterflies, bugs, rattan balls, hearts, birds - all this, of course, is necessary, but at the first stage it is absolutely unnecessary. In addition, many of the decorative "buns" can be made by yourself.

18. Tools: sharp sewing scissors, round-nose pliers and / or pliers, nippers, construction knife, ruler, pencil, stapler, compasses - all this will most likely come in handy. So running - to destroy the boxes of the husband and children)))

19. Scotch tape, double-sided tape, threads - for attaching sweets.

Well, we don’t throw away cardboard, bushings from foil rolls, cling film, beautiful boxes, and everything that you find useful in the subsequent work with flowers and sweets.

Let's summarize. To try to create your first unpretentious compositions (for example: a bouquet in a basket, a handmade bouquet, a decoration on a box of chocolates) and spend a minimum of investments on this, we need: corrugated paper of three colors, combined with each other, as well as green corrugation for leaves and taping stems; green film for curls; skewers; polystyrene or penoplex; a small basket (about 14-15 cm in diameter is quite enough) or a pot; a pair of ribbons suitable for the selected corrugated paper; scissors; hot glue with a gun; thread or tape; and, of course, candy. The rest of the materials - at your choice and wallet.

I hope my review will be useful for beginners. And I wish you all success and inspiration!
