Basics of practical magic. The basics of magic and witchcraft. Moon: Lord of multiplication and illusion

Magic security is relevant for everyone who perceives such information and who does not. It's just that the second category of people does not think about such things, just like people who did not know about bacteria, germs and viruses, did not think about hygiene. Of course, this does not take away from each of us the right to see the world the way we want it. However, if you decide to get to know the world of the sacred, secret and incomprehensible better, you need to learn about the basic points of magical security. It will definitely not be superfluous.

Do not do in magic what you do not understand

In magic, it is often advised to take and conduct some kind of ritual, do something, learn runes and write a runescript ... You see, this can be compared to mathematics, where you would just start memorizing formulas, but not understand the principles. Or with history - you would have memorized a bunch of dates for the exam, but you would not understand either the era, or what moved those people, their motivations, nothing. Magic is similar in this sense, basically it does not differ from all these areas. People think that this is something sacred, but you are doing it here, in completely non-sacred houses, apartments, you are those who are often engaged in completely ordinary affairs. Yes, this is really something sacred, but if you really bring it into reality, into the very reality in which you expect a result from it, then you also need to understand how the result should turn out, what is dangerous and what is not is also necessary. In this, again, reality. Otherwise, you will end up with a situation in which the aborigine got an unknown device, he wants something from it, but it is not known whether this device will give such a result, whether the unit is broken at all, whether it will be electrocuted.

It is impossible to observe safety precautions in magic in such a situation.

Do not practice magic in substance-altered consciousness

Alcoholic intoxication, narcotic state, high temperature, high degree of fatigue - all this confuses the mind. You must understand where you are, who you are with, what you do. Be aware of your actions, be aware of what is happening. Otherwise, you will not be able to control all this, be responsible for it. And you can do something that you will regret later. I, a magician, will note that this is completely true not only in magical practice.

Learn the theory of magic first

Magic really isn't that different from so many areas of our lives. As in many other cases, you should first study the theory, and then move on to practice. What exactly are you interested in? Lucid dreaming? In this direction, you can read the book "Workshop" by Rowena, you can refer to the works of Castaneda, although there are adaptations from his followers, much more understandable for those who are interested in lucid dreams. If you want to start writing runescripts, you can read a number of authors - by runes. Not all of them are good, but after collecting theoretical material, starting to reach for the runes, you yourself will be able to critically evaluate this material, understand what is good for you and what is bad. You will understand what you are doing, for you mysterious symbols will cease to be gibberish, but will acquire meaning. And so you will no longer draw self-destructive symbols on yourself, which, at best, will not work.

Develop a critical awareness of what is being written about magic

The last tip is rather strange to give on a topic related to magic. But, in fact, critical perception does not mean immediate denial of magic. In our world, there are enough paranormal events, phenomena, information about them. And even if 95% of them are hoaxes, lies, fraud (which is quite harsh about percentages), then 5% already testify, at least, of the ambiguity of the world that we know. Critical perception does not mean denying everything at once, because this is not critical perception, but something closer to nihilism or negativism. After all, there is no logical reason to deny everything connected with the paranormal. Not a single scientist said - it's all ... not true! As a rule, scientists say that it is problematic to repeat this or that in laboratories, which is important for science, at the same time, the phenomena of past lives, psychic abilities, and much more are being actively studied in the West. Scientists expose specific superstitions or specific charlatans, but this does not mean that there is no place for everything in our world.

Taking a critical look at magic allows different points of view to be considered.

And, assuming that something is, it works quite well, perhaps not always and not in laboratory conditions, you should not rush to extremes and believe everything at once. People often take extreme positions in relation to magic - they either deny everything, or they begin to take too much on faith. If you have dreams that come true, this does not mean that all the ads in the newspapers lead to real magicians. If a specific ritual did not work for you, this does not mean that "all this" is not true. It only means that a specific ritual did not work for you for various reasons. Or it worked, but not in the way you expected.

Critical perception of magical security means the need to check the sources of information, to clarify whether someone practiced according to one system or another, and if so, what opinions were formed, why, and so on. The same should be applied to the first successes, failures, and so on. There is no need to deny completely coincidences, they still have a place to be.

With this article I have tried to outline the basic aspects of magical work. Every word, every concept in magic is a huge layer of information that you need to work with for many years in order to learn how to operate with these concepts and really achieve a result in magical work. Magic is both the work of the mind (theory and foundations of the ritual), the body (yoga and similar exercises) and the imagination (the practice of visualization and meditation). Only such an integrated approach will help to reach the heights of the Spirit. At the beginning of the article, let me give you two theses that none of you can disagree with:

1) Thought is material. Your outer life depends on your inner state.

2) You need to live in a state of balance, balance. This does not mean doing nothing or not thinking. In the Western occult tradition, this means to bring all the forces of nature and all the inner forces of a person into balance, so that this will contribute to the development of the person himself and his ability to help humanity as a whole.

In fact, the magic that I propose to do is work to achieve balance to balance your mental activity and emotional states, achieve self-confidence and find your true purpose on this planet.

For balancing, the magic of the elements, planets, signs of the zodiac is used, and to find your place in the universe - establishing a connection with the Holy Guardian Angel. These disciplines are virtually everything every practicing magician needs to know. The bad news is that all of these symbolic elements of magic have so many facets, correspondences, pitfalls and hidden meanings that the work will last for several decades.

Many people ask if magic is not dangerous in the sense that we do not suffer enough in our destiny, and that it is through suffering that purification occurs. I propose to immediately abandon this idea! In the concept of telema magic, which I practice and recommend to you to practice, the idea of \u200b\u200bsuffering is considered imposed and destructive. Imagine that you live in a universe where no one punishes you. You have already grown up and must be responsible for your own actions. You can only be punished by causation in the event of incorrect or dangerous actions.

The Universe gives joy and happiness to every person and does not demand anything in return. You should not be punished for your happiness, but the apparent misfortune that occurs is the result of an imbalance in the influences of the elements, planets and zodiac signs in yourself. Proceed from this, and everything else will follow.

Like any science, magic consists of theory and practical application.

The theory includes:

1) Archetypes of the unconscious
2) Five elements and seven planets
3) Tarot cards
4) the tree of life
5) Pentagram
6) Hexagram

All of the above is essentially a systematization of archetypes.

Practice includes:

1) Meditation (on elemental cards, planetary principles, tarot cards)
2) Making magic weapons and talismans
3) Rituals with or without their use

Archetypes of the unconscious

Our rational thinking, consciousness, thoughts and logic are what we use every day. It is opposed by the unconscious - everything illogical, irrational, intuitive, mystical. The human soul is like an iceberg: a small ice mountain rises above the sea - this is consciousness, and under the water is hidden a huge part of what is not used, forgotten, but it exists and can significantly damage the ship of our life, if not taken into account.

In the unconscious there are archetypes - these are mythologemes underlying any situation a person finds himself in. The history of the development of culture and art throughout the world has given us a huge number of legends, myths, fairy tales, parables and religions. Studying the ancient pagan heritage, as well as the development of monotheistic religions (in particular, their borrowings from paganism), one can come to interesting conclusions. In fact, at the center of each such story, we find a mythologeme that turns out to be familiar to us from other myths and legends of other peoples. Knowing the mythology well, one can easily determine which archetype acts in a given situation.

For example, by old age a man turned gray, let go of his hair and beard, put on sackcloth and went into the woods. Everyone he meets, he instructs. The archetype of the Wise Old Man acts on him.

Take another simple visual example - the alcoholic. What is a bottle? This is an allusion to the mother's breast. Remember how the Virgin Mary, the Great Mother, was portrayed during the Renaissance? Lactating, with one breast topped. Therefore, we can conclude that alcoholism is based on the mythology of the Great Mother. An alcoholic is a person who does not want to grow up and become independent. He is still tied to his mother's breast.

An archetype always has two sides - good, light and evil, shadow. A great mother can be the kindest in the world, give joy. This is the goddess Nuit, who extends over the entire universe, the goddess of the starry sky. Or it can be a terrible sow, “devouring her children”, preventing them from developing independently, not letting them go free. Likewise, the Wise Elder can be really wise, or maybe just philosophical, the one who eternally teaches everyone around to live and gets bored.

One of the most important archetypes is the Shadow archetype. It is at the heart of all conflicts and wars. The shadow archetype means the glow of opposites. If you declare something "this is good", then you automatically repress the opposite of this phenomenon into the unconscious. The more often you say “good” to something white, the more energy “black” gets in your unconscious. Ultimately, a pole shift may occur. Remember how the "British scientists" scared us that the poles of the Earth will swap places with the equator? This is a symbolic display of the phenomenon of entropy, which can happen to anyone who does not develop thinking, whose judgments operate within certain boundaries of consideration. For example, we say - yes, white is good, but only for us at this particular time, and if we use it this way and that. Always keep in mind the opposite opinion on all issues, even if you do not agree with it. The main thing is that you cannot see the world only in black and white colors. Such thinking leads a straight road to neurosis.

For a more detailed acquaintance with the archetypes of the unconscious, it is recommended to read the books by Carl Gustav Jung "The Psychology of the Unconscious" and "Psychology and Alchemy", as well as Erich Neumann "The Origin and Development of Consciousness", which talks about the stages of development.

Tarot wheel

Tarot cards are a complete system of archetypes of the unconscious, which supposedly contains all the archetypes and stages of development of any situation. In this it is similar to the Chinese book of changes I-Ching, which Leibniz considered a mathematical binary system. The I Ching describes 64 general stages of development of any system (from the person himself to the state). Each of these situations is decomposed into six more successive stages. Tarot cards are no less versatile, albeit less slender. But the Tarot contains answers to all questions and explanations of all areas of life thanks to its unique set of symbols, which are enclosed in 78 cards of the deck.

The senior tarot cards correspond to the three basic elements, seven planets and twelve signs of the zodiac. The four suits of the minor arcana are four elements (fire, water, air, earth). Courtyard cards represent sub-elements (for example, air of water).

To work with the Tarot, you must understand that their interpretation, just like the interpretation of dreams and visions, occurs through correspondences. Each archetype has a set of symbols corresponding to it. For example, the wise old man is gray-haired, and the Great Mother always carries some symbol of motherhood, feeding, drinking, caring, sometimes excessive. A man in a black monastic robe with a scythe - Death. A beautiful young girl emerging from the sea foam - Venus. The system of correspondences is best summarized in the tables of the book “Kabbalah 777” by Aleister Crowley. Recommended reading of the Tarot - Hayo Benzhaf "The Tarot and the Hero's Journey", Aleister Crowley "Tarot Tota".

The senior lasso, drawn out to a specific question, will help clarify the understanding of which archetype lies at the heart of - conflict, plans, implementation. Minor arcana - symbolize the development of the situation in the elements.

How can you observe the development of the situation of the elements in the lower Tarot cards? Consider the example of Water. So, the root of the forces of Water is pure feeling, not yet emotion, but pure joy. In the deuce, a specific feeling begins - Love. Then the emotion develops, there is more water - Abundance, three bowls. When abundance is boring, this is already Luxury, four bowls. When, finally, luxury gets boring, Disappointment sets in. Finally, in the top ten, saturation occurs - too much water.

Tree of life

To understand why this is how the minor arcana of the Tarot should be interpreted, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with another universal system - the Tree of Life. Read more about this system here: Divination on the Tree of Life. The main thing to remember about the Tree of Life is that it repeats Plato's theory of eidos, ideas. In an ideal world, everything is thought out, but in the real world, it is realized and materialized. The very top of the Tree of Life is the idea, the very bottom is the realization. Between them are different levels of comprehension. The tree of life has three pillars along which energy descends. The most harmonious flow is considered to be the median pillar, and the deviation to one or another lateral pillar is disharmonious. Therefore, 1 (Ace), 6, 9 and 10 are relatively positive cards, and 4, 5, 7, 8 are disharmonious. Cards 3 and 4 in each of the suits are average in their manifestation, since they belong to the highest triad of the Tree of Life, but are not on the middle pillar.

The tree is superimposed on:

A) On the human body. Adam Kadmon. A lot of exercises and practices are associated with this overlay, for example, the ritual of the Middle Pillar, which coincides with the spine.
B) The creation myth. Naples Order (so named because it was developed by Crowley during his stay in Naples). It is described in detail in the Book of Thoth, but in short, its essence is that first there was one point, then, in order to differentiate itself, a second, third, and then space, time, feeling, thought, image, and finally materialization appeared.
C) Development of a person's personality, his spirituality. There are two paths of development in Thelema, which are superimposed on the Tree of Life:

  • The Way of the Sword, which is practiced in the Order of A.A. - This is a vertical path, implying a steady ascent to the Spirit, which is considered very difficult and associated with many trials.
  • The Way of the Serpent, characteristic of the initiations of the O.T.O. (more detailed information here: the Order of the Eastern Templars in Ukraine or the Order of the Eastern Templars in Russia). The snake coils along all paths without exception - that is, by successively passing initiations (or, alternatively, working independently), a person gradually rises to the Highest Triad of Spirit.

Chapter 3. Basics of magic

You can practice magic in any way you want and use it to achieve an infinite number of goals. Magic can be practiced alone or in groups in order to achieve benefits for yourself or completely disinterestedly. It can only be yours and informal, or it can be strictly regulated by special rules. But whatever magic you decide to do, you should organize a special place to work: set aside a room in the house for healing and deepening knowledge in the field of magic.

Mitchell Underhill Christian Larson's foreword is distinguished by a depth of understanding of human development. It is best revealed in the metaphor with which Larson describes the interaction of the psyche and the brain. The psyche is like a pianist overflowing

When humanity comes up with an explanation for any magical phenomenon or phenomenon, it quickly declares this part of magic a science and pretends that magic and witchcraft have nothing to do with it.

Many individuals who have not lost their youthful enthusiasm and romanticism are nostalgic for the past, fantasy and other worlds. For some reason, no one thinks that we are living in the most intense time for magic in the last several thousand years.

Here are just a few examples to support this point. Alchemy and potion-making are put on stream, thanks to which the female half of humanity has gained unprecedented power over their own age and beauty. Healing of most diseases and ailments has become possible. Old age has been pushed back for decades.

People have conquered the distance and communicate with each other using devices that do not exceed the size of a human palm.

An analogue of the world space information field has been created, to which almost all people on the planet have received access.

The salamanders are huddled in narrow tonelli and miniature barrels. Now they are enslaved and serve man. Only occasionally do they severely punish onlookers who dare to stick a finger into the small entrances to their dungeons.

There has been a great subordination of water (plumbing and sewerage); cold and heat (central heating, refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners), fire (gas stoves) and light (artificial lighting with incandescent and daylight lamps).

People carry out their movements to any distance inside giant birds, caterpillars and beetles of various sizes and shapes.

Children and adults no longer just listen to exciting stories, but observe them in colorful "come to life" pictures on huge pages in dark halls or on small pages in their comfortable homes.

A world of knowledge available to all, gender equality, the absence of castes and free movement from class to class, and many other wonders that have not been seen before.

Such a person would see our world, for example, from the Middle Ages. And a modern man is accustomed to him, and therefore he is nostalgic, poor fellow, burning his life in pursuit of dreams and the talented invention of writers and screenwriters.

Magic is a philosophy of life, self-discipline and a life of your own choosing.

Therefore, everyone chooses his own path and direction in life and in Magic.

But to choose, you need to know what to choose from.

Consider what are the basics of Magic and Witchcraft, and what are the benefits of studying them.

Let's draw an analogy with a school. When a child comes to the first grade, he still does not know who he is: a humanities or a mathematician. But, of course, he had already heard about all sorts of school disciplines that fascinate him with their names and sweet stereotyped pictures.

He knows about chemistry, where he will mix all kinds of powders and liquids and get multi-colored solutions, gases and other phenomena.

He also knows about biology, where he will look through a microscope, conduct experiments on animals and study the great secrets of microorganisms that live under his nails.

There are many sciences that attract and attract him, but no one will allow him to study them, because the child does not yet know the main thing: reading, writing, counting, thinking and analyzing.

A unique guide for people seeking to enter the world of unknown forces and master them. The book is a collection of works of theoretical and practical material that reveals the secrets of success in working with practical magic. The manual is suitable for both a beginner and an experienced researcher of the unknown.

Part 1. Theory of magic

1.1. General points

The only active point of entry and exit is the present.

If we take away time, a person will gain eternity

A deep understanding is needed that time does not exist. Thus, it disappears and a pure active moment remains.

Energy devoid of the shackles of time becomes free.

Divine energy is in a person. But it becomes such when a person realizes his divinity.

What is above is similar to what is below.

What is below is similar to what is above.

Human energy - the energy of the universe

The course of life is a constant materialization of the inner energy environment of a person into its physical equivalent.

What a person has at the moment in his life is the result of the interaction of his inner strength with an external force, which generates materialization.

Man is a center that is connected directly to the source.

The universe and man have a direct connection, like mother and child.

Energy is that which fills all that exists, since all that exists is it.

There is no existence outside of this.

Since all things and phenomena are of the same nature, they can be cognized by themselves.

One in the other's world are a reflection of each other.

What's in one is in the other

The external is always a reflection of the internal

Mental realm - idea, intuition, thought

Astral sphere - feelings, energy, movement.

Etheric sphere - energy and information, transformation, pre-realization.

Taking into account all the peculiarities of the "Vortex", any thought before being embodied in matter passes through 3 spheres of design.

Any physical thing or process is an act of "swirling" in a final form.

The life of an intelligent creature is a constant process of "vortex", which in turn determines the nature of its reality.

As long as we do, what we do, we will get what we get.

A rational being is something with which he can consciously identify himself.

Love is undifferentiated, pure energy of transformation. It is not a creation of the mind and cannot exist in the field of the mind, therefore it is impossible to give it a static definition. It is the highest "reward" as a consequence of the utmost purity of understanding and peace.

1.2. Magic and you

Let's define magic as a creative function of a person, using our inner strength for this.

Every minute, a person creates his own reality. His creative function is always busy. like a heartbeat.

The present is the foundation of the future. To know your future, you need to start from the present.

Our senses are the key to creating the future.

How you feel here and now, it will be transformed into reality. Who you feel yourself in the present, and so will be in the future. The present is the only starting point.

How can you find the truth? You just need to stop.

Give up seeking, deeply understand the meaninglessness of this occupation.

Awareness comes only to the one whose mind is dissolved in the present moment. With awareness comes conscious creation. This is magic.

Magic is a conscious creation.

Have you not observed in your life that sometimes it looks like a continuous repetition of the past? Remember where your consciousness was at that time. It has always been in the past. If you are conscious in the past, the present reflects this, and thus your future becomes a constant repetition of your past.

We live in a dream world, a fantasy world, preferring real reality to them. Therefore, our life is continuous dreams and fantasies.

Our perception of the world is the point within which creation takes place. It can be called the "zone of what is permitted." The extent to which it is expanded is precisely responsible for the saturation of our life, with certain circumstances, objects or opportunities.

Therefore, the actual future of a person is born in his childhood, a significant factor of which is the upbringing of a person - that which "stuffed" his mind, while creating a worldview.

It is very difficult for adults, mature personalities to change. They lose their plasticity. Only through beliefs based on clear facts can their minds accept change.

The main thing is to make changes in the sphere of your attitude. Each such change is instantly reflected in the reality of a person.

If the perception of the world under the influence of any events has changed for the worse, then problems, troubles, illnesses enter a person's life, depending on the polarity where the change took place. If it was a change in attitude towards a specific group of people, for example: alcoholics, then the person gets problems with this kind of people in life. For example: suddenly the spouse began to drink, or lovers of intoxicating drinks regularly began to gather in the entrances of his house.

Thus, the perception of the world expanded and captured a new area of \u200b\u200breality.

If, opposite to the previous example, a person took a positive spark into the sphere of his perception, for example: love for people, then he paints his reality in good tones. As a result, this is reflected in good relationships, support, friendship.

Magic is the science of how to create the conditions for change. This is a conscious form of life management.

Magic is like power: it is neither black nor white. It is clean and has no polarity.

Until the force is colored by some kind of energy, it is "sterile", undifferentiated.

As soon as the strength is colored by any feeling, then it becomes either good or bad. Polarity arises.

Love is not a feeling. She is a state of being.

The magic that generates love is a transformative substance that creates any reality and any phenomenon.

If you cut off all conventions from yourself, then you can feel who you are in truth.

There is no need to seek anything, to achieve nothing. Everything is already there.

Realize yourself, your true essence and just follow your nature. So you will naturally fulfill your function in this life, which nature has laid in you.

The human essence is like a seed, which, by the nature of things, should sprout and eventually turn into a beautiful tree, giving the world its fruits. But people, due to the abundance of internal disorder, disharmony of energies and lack of understanding of things, neutralize growth potentials in themselves. The potential cannot get into its fertile soil.

All desires and passions generated by your personality always end in suffering. Where there is desire, there is suffering. No desire brings truth, peace, harmony. They can only give temporary anesthesia, a passing feeling of joy, comfort, or a feeling of love. Any desire that our mind has generated is already false - a consequence of the feeling of a lack of something in us or our life. This forces us to come up with many dodgy theories, ideas, concepts and follow them, sacrifice ourselves and make sacrifices for others. Desires, like passions, have no end, since they require self-continuation. You cannot destroy desire or simply abandon it - you cannot desire unwillingness. It can only be realized, understood thereby to "turn off" doing so. It comes through sensitivity and peace of mind.

We are what we identify with our consciousness.

If we think about fear, we become fear; if we think about a problem, we become a problem. Because we cannot identify ourselves with thoughts, we are ourselves. But thoughts are not us. This is the layer of "dust" that our personality produces - what we feel ourselves to be.

If we bring our consciousness from the future to the present, then we realize that there are no thoughts in the present moment. Thoughts cannot exist in the present.

If we can see our thought, trace its course, then we will automatically disassociate with the thought. Like clouds in the sky - they pass, but the sky remains unchanged.

Try the following practice: Observe your thoughts throughout the day. Watch as they come, go and disappear. When you become an observer, thoughts cease to have dominion over your mind. You will gain the constancy of your state and it will not depend on external circumstances, as long as you remain alert and calm at the same time.

You will be able to find a certain center in the very depths of your being - a "place" of constancy and inviolability. You realize that body and mind are not you.

Only a brave person can create and not destroy his reality.

What you have now, you will have in the future. Who you feel yourself now is what you will be in the future.

A person is not so close to the divine as in a state of love euphoria. Because the mind of such a person has lost time, boundaries and differences. He perceives everything as one and he himself dissolves in this unity with the whole. Man has completely dissolved into the world. The entire Universe merged into his being, thus he became the Universe itself.

When love comes, the ego disappears. Love burns him up instantly and mercilessly, personality disappears, differences and frameworks disappear. A person comes to the truth.
